Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corp Ltd today rose by over 4 per cent in early trade on the back of impressive earnings in the April-June quarter.
After making a bullish opening, shares of the energy major further surged 4 per cent to Rs 290.75 on the BSE.
Similarly, on the National Stock Exchange, the stock jumped 4.19 per cent to Rs 290.65.
State-owned ONGC on Saturday reported a 48 per cent jump in June quarter net profit to Rs 6,077.70 crore.
ONGC had posted a net profit of Rs 4,094.90 crore in the April-June period of the last financial year.
The company had also said it is likely to sign a MoU with Japan’s Mitsui for an LNG project by this month.
